HOW MUCH CAN I EARN?
| If you sell 0-$500.00 in merchandise, you
receive 70% commission, if you sell $501.00-$750.00 in merchandise, you
receive 75% commission; and if you sell $751.00 or higher, you receive 80%
commission!!! A $10.00 handling charge will be automatically deducted from
your total sales. A check will be mailed to your home no later than March
18th. However, we usually get our checks out 3-4 days after
the sale! Also, if you are a Seller, you will receive a pass to shop
1/2 price on Friday (before the public)!!!!
AGAIN - WE HAVE BARCODED TAGS! NOW, ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS TYPE IN YOUR ITEM INFORMATION AND PRINT YOUR TAGS FROM YOUR OWN COMPUTER. Drop-and-Dash Policy: At
drop-off, after your clothing items have been checked, we ask that you
place your own clothing items on the sales floor as this keeps a sale of
this size organized and running smoothly.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE UNABLE TO
PLACE YOUR CLOTHING ITEMS ON THE SALES FLOOR, FOR WHATEVER REASON, WE WILL
PLACE THEM FOR YOU. HOWEVER, DUE TO THE EXTRA WORKLOAD THIS CREATES ON A
SALE OF THIS SIZE, IT IS NECESSARY THAT WE CHARGE A SERVICE FEE OF 5% OF
YOUR TOTAL SALES.
WHAT DO I DO ON CHECK-IN DAY? SIGN IN: No appointment necessary! Just make sure you come during the specified drop-off times. Please proceed to the Sign-in table and check in. On the sign-in sheet, please indicate whether you will be picking up or donating your unsold items. For a fee of $1.00 (deducted from your total check amount) we will mail your check to you; or, you may leave a self-addressed stamped envelope at check-in. Let us know at check-in how you want to receive your check. SCREENING YOUR ITEMS: You will put your items on the sales floor in the appropriate sizes. A screener will screen items after they are on the sales floor. Please allow 15-20 minutes for this appointment. If you have a large number of items you will need to allow more time. You need at least 15 items in order to be a seller. WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING WOMEN AND MENS CLOTHES OR SHOES. HOWEVER, WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING WOMENS HANDBAGS. ALSO, WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING 10 PAIRS OF CHILDREN'S SHOES. FURTHER, WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING STUFFED ANIMALS AND DIAPER GEANIES. ALSO, WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING 10 BOOKS (BAGS OF BOOKS WILL BE CONSIDERED ONE BOOK). PICK UP UNSOLD ITEMS OR DONATE THEM? Indicate on the sign-in sheet if you will be picking up or donating your unsold items. If you want to retrieve your unsold items after the sale, you may pick them up as follows. All Sellers can pick up their items from 1:00 - 3:00pm sharp on Sunday, March 9th. We must vacate the building therefore all unclaimed items will be the property of the Northside Consignment Sale. No exceptions!! HOW DO I KNOW WHAT ITEMS SOLD AND FOR WHAT PRICE? Every seller will have the option to obtain a list showing prices credited to their seller #. WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT VOLUNTEERING TO WORK? WHO MAY VOLUNTEER? Anyone who is energetic and enthusiastic!! If you are a Seller and work one 4.0 hour shift (and have the minimum items required), you are entitled to shop at the 6:00pm Workers Presale on Tuesday, March 4th. If you work two 4.0 regular workshifts OR the Breakdown shift on Saturday (2:00pm-7:00pm), you are entitled to shop at the 5:00pm on Tuesday March 4th at the Premier Workers Presale! If you are a Seller and choose not to work (and have the minimum items required), you are entitled to shop that same afternoon at 7:00pm for the Sellers Presale. PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILDREN TO YOUR WORK SHIFT! VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE SALE. Once you are scheduled, we rely on you to keep your commitment to working your scheduled shift. If for any reason you cancel your work-shift and do not find a replacement for yourself after August 13th, a $25.00 fee will be deducted from your final check (unless you schedule and work another shift or find a replacement for your shift). If you are uncertain that you can commit your time, please do not schedule to work. We immensely appreciate all those who offer their time...thank you in advance! We know attending the Presale is well worth the effort!! REFER TO THE REGISTRATION PAGE FOR AVAILABLE WORK-SHIFTS: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to sign-in, find out specific duties, get a name tag and get situated. When your shift is over, sign out before you leave. WHICH ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED? All sizes of children's clothes, preemie to Young Adult sizes. We also accept updated maternity clothing. All clothing items must be Spring and Summer and must be in EXCELLENT CONDITION (no holes, stains, tears or missing buttons), neat, clean and free of odors. Clothing MUST be current styles. ALSO, WE WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING WOMEN AND MEN ADULT CLOTHING OR SHOES. HOWEVER, WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING WOMEN'S HANDBAGS! WE ARE LIMITING CHILDREN'S SHOES TO 15 PAIRS TOTAL SO MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR BEST ONES! WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING STUFFED ANIMALS OR DIAPER GEANIES AND LIMITING BOOKS TO 10 BOOKS TOTAL (A BAG OF BOOKS WILL BE CONSIDERED ONE). Please do not bring any worn out, faded, or out-dated clothing. Toys and equipment should be in working order and clean. In order to be in the sale, you need at least 15 tagged items. HOW DO I PREPARE MY ITEMS TO SELL? HANG GARMENT: Hang all garments on hangers with hanger hook pointing left (WE ESPECIALLY LIKE PLAIN WIRE HANGERS). Secure two-piece outfits together by placing the shirt on the hanger first. Place the pants or skirt on the back of the hanger (the two garments will be back-to-back). Use safety pins to attach both pieces to the hanger. Do not use tiny gold pins (not strong enough to hold the item), and do not use straight pins (dangerous to the shopper). When preparing shoes, you may tie the shoelaces together, buckle the shoes together, or even pin them together. Please do not put shoes in baggies! PACKAGE TOY/GAME/PUZZLE PIECES AND DIRECTIONS SECURELY: Put loose pieces in clear plastic bags and attach to the toy by tying it on, using masking tape or by placing the bag inside the unsealed toy. The bags that newspapers come in work very well for packaging. PRICE AND PREPARE TAGS FOR ALL OF YOUR ITEMS BEFORE CHECK-IN: Price your items as if you are the purchaser. Saturday will be 50% off day! If you do not want an item reduced that day, mark your tag appropriately. TO MAKE A TAG: PLEASE NOTE, NEW ADDITIONAL TAGGING PROCEDURE - Use cardstock paper! WE ARE NOW USING A BARCODING SYSTEM. THEREFORE, YOU MUST PRINT YOUR TAGS OUT FROM YOUR PRINTER. PLEASE GO TO THE LINK PROVIDED TO TYPE AND PRINT YOUR TAGS. IT IS VERY USER FRIENDLY AND EASY. WRITE ALL PRICES IN $.50 INCREMENTS.
SORT CLOTHES: Clothes should be sorted by gender and size before your scheduled check-in appointment time. If you bring them unsorted, you will be asked to step aside and sort them.
